Flying Kites Partners with Expedition Everest

Set to launch February 29, 2012, Expedition Everest is a campaign to raise $1.8 million for Flying Kites. Although this climb is closed to the general public, supporters will have the opportunity to purchase spots to trek to Base Camp with the team, to include FK’s Programs Director Toby Storie-Pugh and Adventure Challenge Director Michael Chambers, both experienced mountaineers undergoing extensive training.

The team will attempt to summit Mt. Everest via the South Col in the Spring of 2013. In addition to raising funds sufficient to complete the Flying Kites campus, Mike and Toby aim to set an example for the children of Flying Kites that any goal is attainable if you dare to start and are determined to finish.
